The Best Homemade no fail focaccia bread

You read that right you guys, somehow managed to succeed at making Focaccia bread!

Looking back before making it, it seemed like a daunting recipe that I thought I’d fail for sure. I had no idea at just how easy it is to make and it tasted amazing. The perfect Fall bread to make for days in cooking comfort food that’s for sure.

This recipe is literally simplified for you because I simplified it for myself. Just so that I knew I’d make it as easy as I could. Life’s busy, making bread seems so out of touch right? But not this one!

  • 4 cups Flour
  • 2 tsp Active dry yeast
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Thyme
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1/4 cup Oil
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Butter

  1. In a large bowl mix your yeast, water (1 cup) & sugar. Set aside for 10 minutes to activate.
  2. In another bowl mix together 1 cup flour, salt and thyme. Add remaining water, oil.
  3. Stir in yeast mix, stir until a wet dough forms. Add rest of flour.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for about 2-3 hours.
  5. Oil a baking dish by 12×18 with 2 Tbsp oil. Make sure to get all the nooks and corners real well.
  6. Pour bread mix into the dish and let it rise again for another hour.
  7. Preheat oven to 450.
  8. Once bread has risen a little more, finger dimple the dough with your hands. I got a good amount so oil can sit in them. Gets it nice and crispy.
  9. Add flavours on top like your parm cheese, tomatoes, butter. etc.
  10. Bake for 16-18 minutes.
  11. Bring out and let it cool for another 10 minutes, serve and enjoy!

On top of the dough before baking, I did get a little creative with peas, tomatoes, garlic and parm cheese. I forgot to mention this to Drew so when it came out of the oven he got super excited and spread more butter on top and it may have got destroyed. haha. But hey! Still tasted good! Thats what matters!

Of course, the longer you let it rise the better. I was running on crunch time. But still felt letting it rise for 3 hours in total was the perfect time and it still came out with the same great taste and fluffiness. It was soft and the perfect pull apart consistency. The kids loved it we loved it. The baking time itself is super quick and easy. I would say adding the melted butter on top prior to baking is key to get that great crispy texture.

We mixed up some basil and avocado oil to mix in and honestly just straight up butter was good enough for us!

Spider Web No Fail Brownies

Talk about chocolate, goodness! Ella and I tested out this recipe and let me tell you it was seriously a no fail recipe. To really take it to the test, we did it two times and yes the second time was just as good as the first. I randomly found this recipe online. So I don’t take full credit for it. I do have to say I adjusted a few things just to make it the way we like them.

Brownies for us, we love when they’re chewy. Depending on how you might like them you may also need to make adjustments yourself.
