Dresser+Nightstand

Once and awhile I get this urge to thrift shop, I go on a look out for some fun DIY projects. I found this sweet dresser + nightstand at a local thrift store for $70 total! The price and look were exactly what I wanted when I started Ella’s nursery. Each month I find my decor changes from big rustic stained wood furniture, to small danity white furniture. I can’t seem to make up my mind so I decided to dedicate different rooms in my home to fit both styles!

Drew and I redid these two pieces the old fashioned way. Sand, prime, paint and seal. The tops were extra glossy so I was really fearful that nothing would stick and absorb properly.

With a lot of elbow grease Drew and I finally got through two nights worth of work. I love and crave DIY’s but once I’m knee deep I forgot why I started.. In the end I’m so pleased with how they both turned out, despite the struggle!

This before picture I found on the internet. I didn’t have my own, but the colours are identical to what it was before the makeover.
