Excited to share this easy paint project that literally only took me 3 hours to start and finish. I’ve been eyeing the painted scallop wall for awhile. Just itching to find a day to start it and the hype. Because I really didn’t believe in myself enough to actually pull this off, but I did.
It was pretty simple. The biggest piece to this is making sure you have a straight and even line all the way across your wall. Drew and I figured it out. We found and properly measured out our centre line. Took a small dessert dish and measured the centre of the dish to trace on the wall with a pencil. We made sure each side traced connecting very closely. Then started to paint it.
I started by painting the full wall with my rolling brush then went back and with a much smaller brush outlined the half circles with paint until completely even with colour. This part did take up the most amount of time because I wanted to make sure it was evenly painted and traced exactly.
It brings such fun colour and character to Ellas room. I’m so happy with the way it turned out and know that if I can do this you can as well. The paint colour we went with is a soft pink by Beauti-Tone Paint called ‘Empire Rose’. It looks so pretty in natural light and pairs perfectly with a soft shade of white.
What You Need:
+ Paint Colour
+ Paint Pail
+ Small Paint Brushes
+ Painters Tape
+ Small Circle shape
+ Level ( Wall Levels)
+ Pencil
How To:
- Level the centre of the wall and how high you’d like it to be. Pencil it in the whole way across.
- Measure your small circle and find the centre of it by taping it off. Place the half circle on your penciled in line on your wall and trace them the whole way across, making sure each start and end to the each circle slightly touches the next.
- Roll in your paint colour making sure to cover evenly. Once its covered and dry…
- Take your much smaller paint brush and trace in the half circles with your paint and cover each one. Making sure the paint is also even.
