Summer season is upon us. Can you feel it? The hot days that lead into warm evenings. The sun seems to be lasting longer for us throughout the day and with that we’ve been reminding ourselves to protect our eyes. I mean it definitely doesn’t have to be a chore. It can be something really, really fun when you include Sunglasses and IRIS. When it’s nice out we generally feel the want to spend our whole day outside soaking in all the suns beauty. It’s super important to not only stylize our eyes but to also take care of our eye health.
We as a family, recently did a miniature sunglasses fashion show for each other at our local IRIS in preparing for Summer and of course vacations. That is one thing we always make sure is packed in our travel bag, our sunglasses.
So, we all had a chance to stylize a few pairs for each other and the outcome was so much fun! We walked out with some really great picks!
Dads.
Dad likes his Oakley’s so he made a safe choice and ventured with an all black pair that are polarized and so clear. I tried them on and was amazed with the look through and of them. Plus, he looks like a super cool dad with his! He is the King of summer eyewear!
Ella.
She found the cutest little pair of colour changing sun specs. They really do change colour in the sun from a light purple to a dark pink. I couldn’t even believe her reaction when you showed her what it did. She jumped up and down in pure joy that she could have them. Of course she wears them like a natural and they go with everything. A girls favourite accessory. Color changing sunglasses!
Mom.
Okayyy, I have to admit I didn’t take as long as Dad when it came to picking out a perfect pair of sunglasses for myself. I almost immediately knew when I tried on my two pairs that they were keepers. I think that it’s really great to choose something that not only protects your eyes, feels comfortable but also matches everything and for your everyday. I love the look of aviators and gold trim. But I’m also falling in love with the all black look just like Drew is.

Our sweet boy loved the look of sun changing specs so we are currently still in chats about this. It is really such an awesome option for anyone who already wears glasses. So once you step foot in any direct light they slowly polarize and dim the light through the shade like a sunglass. Two things in one piece of eyewear is really genius!
We are all happy campers with the pieces and looks we went for. And can comfortably say that any of these sunglasses will carry on with any look or adventure we do everyday. It’s nice knowing that we all have our go to glasses that we can’t leave the house without! If it’s long road trips, swimming in the pool or just lounging outside we remind ourselves to grab our eye gear and go have fun!
