Tea Cup Candles

Are you like me and love to burn candles? I have many of them scattered throughout my home. One thing that I hate to do is once they are burnt to the end of the wick, I notice all the left over wax! Instead of throwing it away I keep it all. I feel like it’s just such a waste. Once I have a good amount saved up I spend the day filling tea cups that I’ve found and picked up while thrift/value village shopping!

Michaels have really good wicks so I always pick up a couple there and they also sell wax if your wanting to make large quantities! I set up a double broiler usually filling a pot with water and I use a container to melt the wax in. Double dip the wick into wax and placing it in the centre of the tea cup and once the wax is melted start pouring away. Let set over night!

These tea cup candles make for perfect little homemade gifts. These ones have been set up in Ella’s nursery amongst her Beatrix Potter books! Have fun playing around with your essential oils for scents and colouring.
