Sharing some beauty favourites today!
Last week, I had the opportunity to get together with the whole London Drugs Beauty Team and head to Whistler at the Fairmont for an overnight Beauty Press Trip Event. It was the event of a lifetime let me tell you. It was absolutely amazing and so nicely put together. We had an afternoon of visiting brands that all share products at London Drugs, then a Holiday Glam dinner with COTY. Followed by the next morning of workshops hosted by CONAIR, Avenue, Elizabeth Arden and Lise Waiter.
Before even becoming a blogger I actually studied at Blanche Macdonald and became a certified Esthetician. So beauty products and sharing about them was always something I loved as part of my full time job. Recommendations, ingredients that help improvements. Things like that I loved to learn about. Becoming a blogger I sort of set my 8 year beauty and aesthetics knowledge aside. But once attending this, I just lit up. Loved everything about each brand. The products that are sold at London Drugs today and some high quality items that I even loved using on my skin and noticed a huge difference.
Today, I’m sharing just a few products from this event that we learned about that can be found at LD. A few are brand new and just coming to stores! Some are old favourites that just continue to be best sellers. Which is always awesome.
As parents and women in general sometimes we get stuck on the same brand or sometimes aren’t even knowing that some of these beauty products are out there. So for me this was a big eye opener into an easy world of beauty for myself. And I know it can be for you as well!
12 London Drugs Beauty Faves
- Perfumes | Lise Waiter & Burberry & Lancome. All amazing scents that linger for a really long time that don’t just fade after an hour. I loved that the scents stuck around and could smell them throughout the day.
- Burts Bees | I’m amazed at how big this line has grown from just lip balm to now a whole line of makeup. I have fallen in love with their coloured lip matte balm. The brush is beautifully designed to help get that perfect line for your lips.
- Neo Strata | Neo Strata has always had such a good name in the skin care game. This Collagen booster is amazing and I just finished using their retinol pads. Worked like a charm and completely ridden of that layer of dead skin. Perfect addition to the exfoliation family.
- Sally Hansen | Nail polish is amazing. This salon quality line of colours for the Holidays is the perfect sparkle colour. It is gel polish with no light needed. Also have a base and top coat which I totally recommend for lasting colour.
- Elizabeth Arden | This is truly a cool lip protection stick. Goes on clear and has an SPF of 15. Our lips always need sunblock to!
- ALMAY | ALMAY brings me back to my teenage years. It was always a go to for foundation. The liquid has changed completely and a way better quality and colours are perfect matched.
- St.Tropez | I only recently within the last year started to use this for a nice even tan colour. It’s my favourite for self tanner hands down. The Watermelon Infusion is a gradual tanning body lotion that works wonders. And so easy to apply with no streaking.
- Avenue | I have always loved Avenue for sensitive skin. This line is the best for anyone that might break out to anything minimal in products. It’s light and fresh feeling but also gets the job done! The new Hydration Aqua Gel is the best.
- Eco Tools | Most of you probably already own one of these, I know I did many many years ago. These babies last a lifetime and work wonders. I love them and forgot how much I loved them until seeing them at the beauty event. The price point is right on budget. And so many different brushed to choose from now.
- RIMMEL | Wonder Swipe is their newest baby. It’s super cool! I love playing with it. It’s a liner & eye-shadow all in one and comes in the best glitter or black colours. My favourite is the gold and perfect for the Holidays coming up!
- Hot Tools | Dryer brush. Who has used this before?? If you haven’t I suggest one of these. It cuts drying time in half, brushes your hair and slightly straightens it as well. I mean three claps for this bad boy! I’m obsessed with this. I also find it reduces the damage as well!
- CONAIR | Straightener. I have always been told to buy salon grade. But I’m now convinced it’s all a lie. This CONAIR straighter is the best I’ve ever used and I’ve owned 3 salon grade straighteners. My hairstylist friends will probably laugh at me. But honestly it’s so good.
I could go on and on about the many many new products that are available or out today that you can find. But I feel like I’d be going on forever. So in the meantime if you’re out shopping with no kids and curious at what be at London Drugs Beauty Centre, I’d go browse and test out for yourself some of these things.
