Osoyoos
Checking off another bucket list place for us to visit this past weekend, Osoyoos! We’ve always heard so much about this place and finally got the chance to visit with Watermark Beach Resort. It was a quick three hour drive from our home and it always amazes me the different kinds of terrain we come across travelling around British Columbia. We entered into a very desert like community filled with wineries and Okanagan Lake. There is just so much surrounding this cute little town!
The weather was for the most part decent, the Fall air felt so refreshing. The leaves changing colours was beautiful. Fall in the Okanagan is pretty!
Watermark Beach Resort
When we first arrived at Watermark Beach Resort I was super happy to see all the safety protocols in place. Masks being worn and cleaning being done. I checked us all in and we went to find our suite. Free parking is found below ground. Our space had two separate rooms, a full kitchen, dining room, living room and two bathrooms. The place also came equipped with a washer & dryer! Yes, I said it. We always have so much laundry when we travel so seeing this was a game changer!
The Pool
The kids of course wanted to immediately dash for the pool. Which we basically did. This pool still in October was running wonderfully. The green waterslide was number one in my kids books, not to mention the outdoor saltwater pool and two separate hot tubs. One hot tub is sectioned off just for adults and the other for children.
For both of our evenings we took strolls along the beach which is in fact right into front of the resort, Gyro Park. It runs for awhile and eventually leads to a playground for kids. We also strolled just up the street to the town strip and grabbed coffee. I loved how conveniently everything is located to Watermark Beach Resort. We didn’t have to go too far to grab dinner either.
Restaurant At Watermark Beach Resort
Boston Pizza is located on floor 2 so our first night we ordered in. Then our second evening we ventured down to the resorts Restaurant at Watermark. It was such a cozy atmosphere and the weather was just perfect so we took the kids outdoors to eat our meal. I tired some locally made wine Covert Winery and we each dug into our meals.
Drew loved the lamb and risotto. I had the Cheeseburger with Paramsean Fries. While the kids both enjoyed chicken strips and fries. haha Yes, there is also a kids menu!
Back to the pool we went and enjoyed the last little bit of the kids laugher playing on the waterslide. We managed to get one afternoon in as we’ll driving around to see what Osoyoos had. There really are so many beautiful scenic view points to find, lakeside beaches, wineries and desert boardwalk trails.
Another great weekend in the books with our two little ones. Any place that has an amazing pool and waterslide like this, they give an A+!
