Every year this is the place to be on hot Summer days! Lucky for us it’s right in our own backyard. But making sure to get there or after the hectic crowds is our specialty! We’ve kind of perfected it at this point. It can get very busy in this area, so we normally scoot down just before bedtime letting the kids get an evening dip in. Still so late in the evening it’s still been very hot and very sunny so its been wonderful this year!
We’ve been bringing the kids to Cultus Lake every Summer since they were both little babies. So they grew up and are growing up in this lake learning to swim and creating some long lasting memories with our family.
There are three main beaches to go to Main Beach, Entrance and Maple. We are suckers for all three but our go-to locations are Entrance and Maple Beach. Entrance has a dock, lots of room to run around and sand!
Maple is a little more rocky but also has a dock and lots of room to run around and enjoy. Main is the closets to all of the main attractions located in the centre of Cultus Lake aka the waterslides, ice cream, adventure park. Main beach also has ample of parking and the coolest playground for kids. It is also pay parking. If you take a walk along the pathway it takes you around to another little beach at the end which is also really pretty to visit as well. There you’ll see Cultus Lake Marina!
Each beach is equipped with change rooms, washrooms, picnic tables and some even have fire pits to make meals. All of them are non smoking and just entrance has a puppy area zone! Parking can be full quite early in the Summer so we recommend visiting early in the morning or making your way later in the evening!
Either way when it’s hot as heck out we just need the water. Give us all the cool swimming water please! This month marks our 11th Summer in Chilliwack and making our way to Cultus Lake. It’s special to us and where we make the most of our Summer! For us, it’s so hard to believe that we’ve been in Chilliwack for 11 years now. We are so thankful for this wonderful move and growing our family here!
