As soon as our Holiday vacation was over it was really hard to get back into the work routine. Every morning heading to my office downstairs was a little tricky. I wanted to escape this room and lounge on the couch watching tv. One thing that I knew that I needed to do was transform my office into a room that I wanted to get to everyday. A room that excited me and made me feel good.
The first action put into place for my office was to remove all clutter. I already hate clutter so slowly I pieced away at that. Then because it is such a small space I had to make it cozy and space efficient. Drew made me some gorgeous would shelves and I brought in my little reading chair.
I found pieces of framed art from Opposite Wall that spoke to me and made me feel happy. Adding those and then adding my hanging shelf that I’ve been hanging onto for so long. It was just sitting there ready to get used. Pulling all of these things together to make this room feel cozy and not so much like a workspace was exactly what I was trying to accomplish.
This room makes me feel happy, it inspires me to create and continue working! Especially after having the worst January Holiday hangover!
