We are back! We’ve been back from our amazing little family getaway for about two weeks now and I keep finding myself going to photos reminiscing. We really had an amazing trip away with our kids and so thankful we had this time with them and this whole experience.
Drew and I pre-kids use to travel to Banff quite often. We also use to only live like 4 hours away. So in our early stages of our relationship it was our Summer road trip tradition. Since having kids, we haven’t been back. So it was one of my goals to make sure they were also apart of the many happy memories Drew and I once made there. Because once you visit Banff, you want to over and over again it’s that beautiful.
This trip was more than just a regular family trip, it was a really meaningful and reminiscent trip for us. Drew and I felt old memories and we had that chance to make some new ones with our little ones!
A few weeks ago, we all boarded our flight with Flair Airlines in Vancouver and flew to Calgary, renting a SUV and we drove to Banff. It was the most epic four days we’ve ever spent travelling. Thankfully Flair Airlines made it all possible so a huge thank you to them. For providing families with safe, easy and affordable flights.
This flight was the first time our whole family ever flew all together before. In the past I’ve normally went with the kids alone and then Drew would follow. And normally that trip is to our homeland, Nova Scotia!
The night before we left for Alberta, we were able to check in early, pick our seats early. Have our bags checked and ready to go early. We had it all prepared on our phones and everything. When we arrived to YVR I was just floored at how easy it was to have it all ready to go for us. We barely saw any lines for Flair Airlines. Which is always the best thing ever when travelling let alone with two kids.
The four of us packed smart too. We did two carry on bags and a full sized suitcase below. That way it was too much hassle juggling kids and suitcases. We also made sure to pack some fun stuff for the kids to play with and snacks when checked through security. There are flight snacks and drinks to purchase as well just in case you need more! We grabbed Ella some colouring books and Owen got to try out his new ear phones and they were so content the whole time.
It really made our trip that much easier with no flight stress! Flair Airlines is so accommodating to families and elders. Customers who need special care. They all board first. So that was just the best. Once we found our seats we got settled. And off we went… I really love how easy and happy customer service was for Flair Airlines. No rushing us through, giving us the proper care and help. Everyone was in such a great mood. From here on out we will be flying Flair Airlines to any destination we can.
Both kids flew amazingly too, we had zero issues with either flight there or home. I still get SO excited about it, thinking just how awesomely, wonderful this trip went for our family and flying. We literally had nothing to complain about with our flights flying with Flair Airlines. We landed at Calgary International Friday November 8th at 3pm and the rest of our family trip began…. to be continued….
