Vancouver Christmas Tradition | Santa Claus Parade

This is becoming quite the family tradition we can agree on! This was our second year visiting Vancouver this time of the year to stay the night and watch the Vancouver Santa Claus parade with the thanks to TELUS. Our family always has such a great time. It’s not to often we get a night away together or get Drew into the city at all. So when we do it’s always extra special to us!

We stayed at the Fairmont Vancouver once again, always such a nice and fun stay here. Around Christmas it always gives me that Home Alone 2 feel, The Plaza. Something about it all decorated and beautiful! The kids faces always lightup when we come here to stay.

We toured around the city late at night finding food and looking at all the lights on Robson Square. Then we just slowly walked back to the hotel. A very easy going and chill evening. The kids have a blast in the pool and their late night cookies with milk. Watching movies in bed until passing out. In the morning we woke up nice and early and hit my favourite spot. Crepe! So delicious and so close. It was awesome! And as good as always.

By the mid-afternoon the kids were ready to get some fun started. We met down by the Vancouver Art Gallery and there they had the chance to play games, face painting, crafts and listened to carols! By 1pm the parade started and we were sitting waiting patiently.

Always so in love with the excitement and festive vibes while watching this parade. I’ve never been to a Santa Claus parade before last year. So now when I get the chance to go, always take it! The kids just have a blast to. With their hot chocolates and treats. Waiting for Santa’s float to arrive!

Every time it gets my little heart melting watching them watch the parade. Something always to look forward to with my little family!

Holiday In Heels | Up Above It All

Oh gosh, I know I said it, the word every women dreads… HEELS!

Terrible things. I will calmly admit I actually only own two pairs. Thats it. I’ve maybe worn the one pair like twice in the last three years…hahah  Buttttt that feeling I get when I do suddenly and randomly wear them, feels SO good.. not for long but you know what I mean. To get dressed up and go out! When your 5 foot, heels can really make you feel up above it all! haha I’m short. When I put on a pair of heels I feel good and slightly taller!

With the Holidays creeping it’s head around the corner it means all of those Holiday events and parities are coming up as well. So why not take advantage of putting on your nicest outfit/heels and going out. Still keeping it simple and dressy of course. The thing with heels is finding a pair that is comfortable and lets face it, reality. Don’t go and find the highest pair if you know you’ll never use them. Find something that has height and feels good on. Find a pair that is neutral and goes with everything you own…

Find a pair that makes you not want to put them down and walk away from. Don’t ever just buy heels because you feel like you need to or because they’re just high! Pick a pair that you can fully say you will wear all night and not take off. These suede heels makes me feel this way. I love them.

This outfit I’m wearing is one of my favourites. It’s simple but yet very dressy and perfect for any evening out! It was comfy and light and the heels I’ve picked are ones that I adore from Le Chateau. They are the comfiest pair and feel so secure when wearing them. I do loveee to get dressed up. The only thing is that it almost never happens! So when I do get that opportunity to go full girly. I do it. I spend most of my days in sweatpants or faded jeans. Anything that pulls me out of my everyday normal I’m going to do!

Everything You Need To Have The Best Girls Night Out On Robson Street

As soon as I hear GIRLS NIGHT, I’m in! Like all in!

Because for myself “girls night” doesn’t happen all the time so when the opportunity arises I do my best to make it happen. Life gets busy, Drew works shift work, kids have tons going on and we just can’t seem to make it work as much as we like to. But when we do, it’s like, why didn’t we do this sooner. Or we need to make this happen more often. We all need that time away to decompress, settle down and not worry about stressful situations that happen in life. A getaway is always a good idea for anyone on any occasion!

Fairmont Vancouver for the Santa Claus Parade

Our family visit to the Fairmont Vancouver to watch our first ever Vancouver Santa Claus Parade was by far one of our most memorable family weekends away. To start off I’m not going to get into detail the stress we endured to make it there with rush hour traffic. So lets skip that part! The boys had decided that they also wanted to watch the hockey game at Rogers Arena before hand. The Toronto Maple Leafs (Drew’s favourite team) were in Vancouver for the only time this year to play the Canucks. They had the best time together! It was one of their first games together as well so it was extra special….

The Pink Jacket | Tuesday Trend

Sometimes when you find that one piece that you love so much, it makes you remember why you love dressing up in the first place! Recently, I had the pleasure of working with H&M on a campaign. With that I had the opportunity to go on a sweet little shopping spree kidless! Yes, alone. You have no idea how long it’s been since I’ve done this. I’m an online shopping kind of gal! It’s just easier, right? …
