Our Family Day Exploring Destination Cultus Lake

Cultus Lake WaterPark

Well, we kick started this Summer into full gear with a family group waterpark trip to our favourite local spot Cultus Lake Waterpark. It’s one place that we visit every Summer ever since Owen was little and we always leave with smiling faces. This year was a little more special for us because our little Ella could really fall in love with so many rides and truly experience the play areas. She had such a great time exploring the kid area and even getting to ride a few bigger slides herself! Our little girl is growing up.

Our Family Stay At Pacific Sands Beach Front Resort | Tofino

It’s not very often that our family finds the time to go on vacation. With Drew’s hectic work schedule and Owen in school right now it’s almost impossible to find time to sneak away. Somehow the stars aligned and we managed to do it. All thanks to BC Ferries and Pacific Sands Resort. We had the best time the four of us hanging out and just relaxing taking in all the quietness. It truly was exactly what this family needed!…

Fairmont Vancouver for the Santa Claus Parade

Our family visit to the Fairmont Vancouver to watch our first ever Vancouver Santa Claus Parade was by far one of our most memorable family weekends away. To start off I’m not going to get into detail the stress we endured to make it there with rush hour traffic. So lets skip that part! The boys had decided that they also wanted to watch the hockey game at Rogers Arena before hand. The Toronto Maple Leafs (Drew’s favourite team) were in Vancouver for the only time this year to play the Canucks. They had the best time together! It was one of their first games together as well so it was extra special….

10 Tips on Flying Flair Airlines with Children

Traveling with kids, most of us cringe. It’s a given that it can be stressful, I’ve been there and done that. I have been flying back and forth from Halifax, N.S to British Columbia for the last 10 years. The trips are always just as long as the last! The only difference now is that I fly with my children. Owen is a seasoned flyer he understands and gets it. He loves it! We just recently made a trip from Abbotsford, B.C to Toronto, Ont thanks to Flair Airlines we got to visit my mom who came from Nova Scotia to visit with us.

SUMMER TRAVEL With VALCO BABY SNAP 4

Things have changed just slightly over here in the past few months. We bought a teeny, tiny commuter car! It’s been kind of great for our family of four, not going to lie. Driving into Vancouver for us and parking a truck was sometimes a little hectic. And not only that, juggling a stroller and fitting something into our squishy back seat was not an option with kids in the back, so if it was a rainy day the stroller got soaked! …

Drew and I will always find the time to getaway alone together. Not that it comes around to often but when it does….START THE CAR!! We were so lucky to have the opportunity to explore our own back yard in Abbotsford, B.C. Mom’s Night Away | Loden Hotel Giveaway

At some point in time it’s almost every mothers dream to sneak away for the night and sleep in a bed all to themselves without a single interruption. To be able to soak in a warm jacuzzi tub & wake up whenever to breakfast and coffee in bed. Best yet, with NO CLEAN UP!! Recently, I got to experience just that with some close girlfriends and mamas. Pretty much a night for the books staying at downtown Vancouver’s award winning Boutique Hotel The Loden.

Galentines Getaway At Rowena’s Inn

Plans may have changed a little this weekend. What was suppose to be a romantic night away with Drew, turned into a much deserved girls getaway!

This may sound a little sad but this was my first actual girls getaway since high school. My first one since having children and I just turned 30!!!! I know how sad is that. I spent it good I must say at the ever so gorgeous Pretty Estates Resort Rowena’s Inn by the river Bed & Breakfast. Let’s just say a girls getaway in your teens is much different when your in your 30’s that’s for sure. Really fun but priorities defiantly changed a bit! Like getting a huge bed to sprawl out on without children kicking you in your sleep or grabbing for a boob. Or when you get to drink hot coffee in bed without the worry of a child bumping into your elbow and spilling in on yourself. Or to be able to actually get a long enough shower to condition your hair…yup, times have changed!…
