Wine & Dine Locally | Moneris & Mak n Ming

{Disclosure this post was sponsored post as part of an collaboration program with YMC & Moneris, however all opinions are my own}

I think one of the best things I love about Vancouver are the many hidden gems scattered throughout this beautiful city. The local and small business owners of quaint little restaurants. It’s amazing that every time I turn around there is a new trendy and delicious spot to check off my bucket list. Recently I had the chance to learn more and see this cute Mak N Ming Restaurant in the heart of Kitsilano.

Serving up menus to 28 seated guests for Dinner and Brunch, they can put together a whole course full of unique and tasty dishes. Selected menus can be found online and are prepared by Chef Makoto Ono. Full of hand crafted, seasonally conscious meals. I love that they are one of 2018 Best Vancouver spots to check out and recently named on Conde Nast Traveler for 2019. Such a huge accomplishment for this small team with big hearts.

We just recently had an evening to visit Mak n Ming. It was a wonderfully unique experience which we loved every second of. The many different dishes to try with exotic flavors and ingredients. I definitely took the advice and paired it with a wine that went down very smoothly and helped catch each taste. Every dish that came out was a complete surprise and had us very excited to try more. We loved this Summer evening sitting by the window, catching a breeze, chatting and feeling that fresh air and warm night. Kitsilano is one of our favorite spots and now adding even more love to the list with Mak n Ming!

I’m also very excited that they are a part of the Moneris family, helping grow businesses and make completing transactions super easy. Making payments is such a breeze and it’s lovely that they have such love for small businesses and big ones in Canada, helping them along the way.

With so many growing places around it makes us so proud to be a part of this beautiful and inviting city. And have the best spots to check out on our doorstep! With a quick swipe, it’s so easy to check out and be able to support small places like this that deserves our support. I challenge you, on your next date night or restaurant visit, to really make it a small, locally owned business. It feels so much better when love is really put into everything. The look, the vibes, the taste! You can always tell when an owner puts their everything into something for you to enjoy!

If you’re in the area and need a new spot to wine & dine at, I suggest visiting this lovely location – Mak N Ming. They are worth every little bit! Walk-ins are always welcome and if you’re feeling like you’d be safer with a reservation, that works for them too!

Packing A Summer Picnic

My children love to be mini hostesses. I mean I totally understand where they get it from. Watching me set up for parties, get togethers or just helping me set up for dinner. They totally watch and lead by example, so when it comes to movie nights they love to help set up and get the party started. They love getting out the fancy dishes for their treats and drinks, lay out everything so nicely for us to enjoy!…

STAR LIGHT STAR BRIGHT | New Years with Kids DIY’s

As most of us prepare for an evening dressed up and out kid free for New Years, our little family will be spending it home with kids. Like most years, we don’t really go out and celebrate. It’s really hard to find things to do for New Years outside of the house. Every year we find ourselves in this dilemma and I refuse to spend it like another day. Because it’s not, my hope is for my littles to look back over their year and appreciate everything they were blessed with good and the bad. Despite it all we’ve made some huge accomplishments! Sooo finding fun things to do at home to make ringing in the New Year a little more special, well we’ve got a plan in mind…….
