The start of this year had brought on some exciting news for us… drum roll… we are officially members of the IRIS Vision year long family! We were thrilled with this news. I mean we have always been a huge fan of IRIS and a little sentimental when it comes to using them. They were the first place we had gone to when we first realized that Owen needed glasses. He was turning 5 years old and now 10!…
Finally, we were so lucky to have such a beautiful day on this day off with the whole family. So we escaped to the quiet, no noise in the middle of nowhere Jones Lake.
We love this view, I mean how could you not! The mountains and fresh air. It’s just so relaxing. The kids had a great time just being free, running around throwing rocks into the water and relaxing.
We needed more days like this. The drive up may have not been the smoothest on this logging road, haha.. But it made for an entertaining drive that’s for sure! But is it really an adventure if it doesn’t scare the shit out of you just a little?? haha
The goofiest faces for photos and off they went to play. Hoping to catch up with more cool mountain drives this Summer with this beautiful, fun family of mine! Possibly camp up here… who knows… start the planning now!

These two girls have been friends for more than half of their lives. Instant friendship. They’re so similar in so many ways. The sisters they don’t have! They are the cutest little duo together. I’m so thankful for a quick DM to Vanessa like three years ago to hang out and work together on some photos. It has taken us through years of friendship for the four of us! So awesome!…
To be real honest, I had no idea how easy Crepes were until this morning when the family asked for waffles!! hahaha Waffles seemed like a lot more work so out of lazy-ness and wanting to try something different I started peeking at some Crepe recipes. After noticing I had thankfully all the ingredients I just started it without thinking too much about it.
Surprisingly I always thought Crepes were this totally tricky thing that I just thought I would fail. So this morning it went wayyy better than I thought and defiantly way easier. One thing that I did notice though for this recipe I would double it because this was not enough to fill our bellies.
- 1 1/2 Cup Almond Milk
- 1 Cup Flour
- 2 Eggs
- 1 TBSP Oil
- 2 TBSP Sugar
- 1 TSP Vanilla
- Mix all dry ingredients together.
- Slowly add all other ingredients and mix with the blender until a smooth consistency.
- Warm your pan, I used the large Paderno pan. Also added a little bit of butter to help with non-sticking.
- Slowly I poured a half cup of mix into the warm pan and spread the mix to make it really thin.
- Cook one side for close to two minutes and flip!
- Spread and enjoy with jam, nutella, fruit! Anything really! We used some maple syrup and Klaassen Farms Blueberry Jam!
Defiantly be prepared to make an extra batch, so maybe double the recipe. Whatever leftovers we have (if we have any) I usually freeze for the next day and early breakfast before school for Owen!
I totally changed my perspective on making crepes. I mean they’re no IHOP but they are still the real deal! Enjoy and let me know if you try the recipe and how it works for you!

Okayyyyyy! I’ve started the Valentines Day vibes over here. I’m not one to celebrate every little holiday but I always make a exception for of course Christmas and Valentines Day. Which is something basically imprinted from a very young age with my mother!
I love to be able to create something small and something thats fun and different for the kids to enjoy. Doesn’t always have to be big and beautiful. Or expensive. Something they can do with me.
Today Ella and I had some quiet time and put together some fun things to celebrate. These Tic Tac Toe treats you can enjoy for yourself or even treat your friends. Easy to make and fun to play with!…
A girl can dream right?? I know, it’s right after the Holidays and not only am I talking about Spring. But seriously this home collection line nails it every season. Everything sparks joy in me! If only I could afford to fill my home with every piece so for now, I’ll sit back and dream about it. Find what I love and see whats on trend this year.
Always such a sucker for neutrals with a splash of colour. And the modern farmhouse vibe. I can’t really seem to narrow my style down to just one or the other. I really loveee seeing a mix in our home. The light airy pieces feel so cozy. With Christmas over and seeing all of the clutter disappear overnight I felt the slight urge to fill it. Even though I know I don’t need to, it’s utterly hard to resist when you see gorgeous things like this.
But I’m a believer in better quality over quantity. So things like this when they come into our home, I treat it with lots of love and cherish it a little more. And hide it from children of course! hahaa

As you probably already know our family is obsessed with Klaassen Farms blueberries. Located in our little/big area of Chilliwack. Thankfully we can enjoy them all year long! Summer time fresh off the bush and at Winter time we love getting their frozen blueberries. Picking them up is very easy thanks to their cute and cozy little shop they have with fun gifts inside.
We recently took a little trip out to visit the shop and it’s full of Holiday Cheer. Tons of blueberries, thoughtful local gifts to get your loved one and best part is that anything edible is blueberry related. Blueberry chocolates, blueberry jam! It’s blueberry heaven to my family. Starting December 1st you can visit the store and stock up on your favourites from Canvas Candle, New Moon, NEU Botanicals, Meadow Vista and many many more.
I love the quaint feel of this shop and how much love they have for our community and their family farm. It’s always such a wonderful feeling visiting this gem. To celebrate their newly renovated in store shop we have teamed up to give you some special giveaways to enter and win a piece of them this Holiday Season!!
Each prize will come with a 20 pound of blueberries and you’ll get the chance yourself to visit!

This is the first Holiday post of the year!!
Hard to believe Christmas is so near, I’m still trying to get over leaving Summer behind. Either way it’s coming, and I better be prepared in some way, shape or form. So starting with a little celebratory drink. Something easy, something that chances are you’ll have the ingredients already in your pantry ready to whip out for any occasion. Recently, we were able to attend the Patron Mixologists Event. Where all 4 of Canadas top mixers came together to win our votes on best mixed drink with Patron! It was a fabulous night and with that we even had the chance to bring home a little for ourselves!…
But First Coffee… does that saying ever get old??
Not for me, this is my everyday. I love coffee and I especially love my Nespresso Vertuo. It is like drinking a tiny cup of heaven every single day and I would NEVER go back to anything else. Its the quality of coffee and the taste of each cup that makes it so much more special! The drink ideas of each are truly endless and it makes it so unique. And so much fun!
Because of this beautiful machine I have decided to put together my own little coffee bar. A place where this baby will reside with love! I put together some pieces that are in my future or already home with me. I can’t wait to share the after! It’s the best feeling having our own little coffee bar in our home, never worrying about leaving or going out!
These pieces are from a few different shops that are currently also my favourite. Links are all added below! Have fun brewing up some love, decor & coffee in your home!

Exciting news for our local friends, meal delivery service Fresh Prep just recently announced that they are now delivering to Chilliwack. I can’t tell you how many years I’ve been waiting for this. Usually, when I go to purchase local things like this not ,any many come to this area. Having it is such a life saviour for our busy family. Not only is everything prepackaged and recipe included but the meal ideas are something that I struggle with. Fresh prep plans it all out for you! Hardly any work or thinking involved.
