Experience Iceland at Vancouver’s FlyOver Canada

Our family has been very lucky to get to experience each Flyover Canada interactive ride. The kids get really excited when we share with them that we are going. They love the energy at FlyOver Canada, getting a fun family day out downtown Vancouver by the water at Canada Place and the ride that has them exploring in the air!

Vancouver’s FlyOver Canada is getting ready for its very anticipated Iceland experience. We had the pleasure of viewing it ourselves and it was beyond amazing. The feature will be playing Feb 17th-April 22nd 2022. The experience begins in a multi-media room with a pre-show 360 degree video projection in 2D & 3D sharing clips of landscape and nature that is an important part of Iceland’s history. It also teaches you fun facts about Iceland from volcanos to glaciers, vikings and more. The pre-show is about 10 minutes long which then leads you to the FlyOver Canada ride.

There you and your family will be safely buckled in side by side. From there the lights will excitedly go off and away you go flying over Iceland. Getting to see Iceland without having to actually travel (which what a cool trip that would really be). Iceland is just the most beautiful place and you really feel it while experiencing this ride. Seeing all the icebergs, waterfalls and the really amazing landscapes. It’s something that you really need to see for yourself!

We loved it and it’s not only visual but you also hear custom music, mists & scents and gusts of wind. Your seat will soar around landscapes and the wrap around screen will make you feel like you are really there!

The whole experience will take approximately 25 minutes long, it runs every 15 -20 minutes. Inside FlyOver Canada you’ll find the Flying Whale Cafe which will be serving Icelandic goodies like lava cake and ice cocktails! Definitely something to check out on your way out!
