Eco-Friendly Family Trip To Harrison Hot Springs

The idea of a family road trip being eco-friendly is seriously music to any of our ears. When you add up all the costs and pit stops it can be a lot to wrap your head around. And let’s face it a family road trip is sometimes not the most relaxing thing in the world so why not cut off some of the stress! Right?

The family packed up and we drove the new Honda Hybrid Clarity to Harrison Hot Springs for a night away. Just to take a break from the everyday and explore everything we normally just browse past! We started with a trip into Harrison Mills and stopped for the night at one of our favourite spots Rowenas Inn. It’s so gorgeous here and literally so much to see. We love just staying for a little bit to take it all in and this time we were able to stay the night. It was perfect!

The weather was awesome so the kids indulged in the pool time, stopping for dinner at SandPipers Restaurant. If you visit you must order the Nachos!! Best ever!!

The little cottages were very quaint, set up with cots and towels and robes for both kids. They loved that little touch of kindness and thoughtfulness to their stay. They grew to love the quietness and calmness of this trip. Playing board games and conversations just playing around. We loved the view of the brand new cottages they’re building just along the road. Fully equipped with brand new everything. TV and limited WIFI. They are looking simply gorgeous right now!

The next morning we had a full breakfast at Sandpiper Restaurant and packed our things to hit the road. First stopping into Harrison Hot Springs and parking the Honda Clarity at the FREE charging stations located right along the main road. Harrison is full of free to use charging stations. Park for as long as you need to charge and explore. It’s awesome!

We parked right beside a cute park and the beach so the kids could play around and I could keep an eye on the car a little bit. It takes fully 2 hours to charge completely. We took the kids down the stretch to Rocky Mountain Chocolate picked up some chocolate and drooled a little! Grabbing some snacks to eat along the way from Muddy Waters and playing picnic along the beach area watching the kids play!

We were so impressed with how easy it was to access the charging stations in Harrison Hot Springs. Literally so easy to use and set up. No scanning or credit card use either! Harrison Hot Springs is so beautiful and eco-friendly saving so much on fuel. And right now that is a bonus!

We loved driving the Honda Clarity. To fully fuel the car costs $30! We saved so much on fuel costs and more importantly the environment. If you own a eco charge car or about to borrow one or rent one. Just know that if you travel to Harrison Hot Springs with it you will be fully taken care of with their eco-friendly charging stations and love for the beauty around them by making it super accessible for anyone to use!
