Once again we had the most perfect opportunity to visit one of our favorite family destinations Pacific Sands located in Tofino. We spent two nights and three days at this beautiful place and for the second year in a row we made some really awesome family memories. Each time we leave a family holiday we always ask the kids if they are leaving with the best memories and they always say yes! That is when we know we’ve just had a successful trip!
Friday morning bright and early, 3am to be exact we packed up the new Ford Escape and made our way to Horseshoe Bay Terminal to board for 6:15am! Crazy. But everything worked out and we definitely made the most of every hour away. Once we made it to Nanaimo we really just took our causal time and drove through the Pacific Rim to Pacific Sands.
Making a few stops along the way like always. We made it. With two tired little ones. We settled quite nicely into their new Oceanside Suites. Gorgeous spacious places. BRAND NEW. And of course oceanfront. Couldn’t get any sweeter than that.
We love it there for many different reasons. One of the biggest reasons is how much it feels like home. Complete with a full kitchen, dining room, living room, lots of bathrooms and bedrooms in each suite. Dishwasher, stove, tv’s, community laundry room. And your covered when it comes to beach towels, rain jackets, bike rentals and campfire side to make evening smores. The list is endless. If you need it they have it…
You can also find the Surfside Grill Restaurant on site as well as a surf shack for surfing rentals and lessons. This time we also found that they offered complimentary sunrise yoga on Saturdays. Lots of BBQ set ups as well to do your own grilling, relax by the beach on a hammock or lawn chair. Lots of yard space to for the kids to run around and just PLAY! There really isn’t any need to leave this place the whole time your there because it really feels like home.
The staff are all so friendly and helpful, with the newest service the text in service. If you need anything on your stay. They text you and you can text them back what you would like or need to your room. It’s always so clean and super easy going when it comes to needing more supplies for the family! We also loved the complimentary coffee & hot chocolate to grab on our beach walks in the morning. And in store treats they had available inside. for a night time snack.
There are so many places to explore and venture. Long beach and our favourite the boardwalk, Pettinger Point. Starting in the side parking lot, with a boardwalk through the forest ending back down to the beach or rockside to view the points and surfers. Tons of shells to grab along the way and so much to see.
We made a family pack that next year when we visit we decided that we must stay a third night. haha! Two went by way to fast. We completely fallen in love with our family stays at Pacific Sands. For us this is the only option in stays at Tofino now that we’ve been here for the second time. It’s a piece of our family here!
