6 Places To Visit [Hamilton, Ontario]
Travel, travel, travel. We love to travel and visit new places, sometimes though it’s not always the right time or in the “Budget”. You can read all about this over at Creative Wife Joyful Worker on travel saving tips! Our little guy Owen is now a seasoned flyer with all of our trips to Nova Scotia. This year we couldn’t make that trip in but we did manage to fly to Hamilton, Ontario. Meeting my sweet mother there for four days!
We fell in love with this growing area and it’s rows of heritage homes. Besides spending the day in Toronto, we spent most of our days exploring Hamilton and Locke Street. If you ever travel with Flair Airlines then you will notice that one of they’re destination stops is in fact Hamilton, Ontario and if your ever interested in staying to explore I’ve picked a few of my favourites places…
- Carmens Hotel
Of course if your visiting Hamilton you need a place to stay. I defiantly recommend staying at the luxury Carmens Best Western Hotel. Only a few minutes away from the airport. We spent our entire stay here and it was such a wonderful experience. From the friendliest staff, cleanest rooms, pool, spacious rooms and good coffee! It was sooo accommodating to all of us. Each floor is beautifully decorated and a lovely setup for weddings. I was soo thankful for this wonderful hotel stay and everyone who worked here to make our stay relaxing.
2. Baci Restaurant
If your wanting to have a nice dining night out, or breakfast or even lunch. Then I suggest while your staying at Carmens Hotel to visit the hotels Italian restaurant BACI. It was beyond amazing. We tried so many different dishes on the menu and loved them all. Including dessert and wine! Going down to sit in or ordering up, we did both, haha. Packed full of people for good reason. The staff are so friendly and so helpful when ordering. I wish we could’ve wrapped this place up and brought it home with us!
3. Bitten Cupcakes
Of course, we love sweets so while shopping and browsing Locke Street we found this cupcake shop! Owen had to try of course the Vanilla. His favourite!
4. Pure Home Couture
A beautiful little curated shop also located on Locke Street. Fell in love immediately upon walking in and defiantly brought home some candles, that may have got questioned while walking through security at the airport! I couldn’t resist!
5. The Beverly
For brunch we stopped into The Beverly, super trendy little spot. Crazy busy with a unique and tasty menu. We each tried something different and enjoyed it all.
6. Chedoke Falls
So apparently, thanks to Codi on this little fact. Hamilton has the most waterfalls in the area. With that we kind of felt the urge to check out the closest one in the area, Chedoke Falls. We made the walk her and Owen made the hike. They came back with gorgeous photos and walked off our weekends worth of meals!
